To My Dear Brem Foundation Community,

With immense gratitude, I am writing to share with you that I will be transitioning out of my CEO role at the Brem Foundation on March 1, 2022. When I assumed this position 6 years ago, I hoped that we would save more lives. As I look back today, I never imagined that we would come this far. With your support, we grew from a one-person operation working out of my home to a dynamic team reaching hundreds of thousands of women each year. Together we transformed breast health education, launched award-winning videos, drafted, lobbied and passed lifesaving legislation, provided free rides to women facing barriers to care, and funded critical diagnostic tests to those who could not afford them. Many of these accomplishments happened while navigating a global pandemic. In short, Brem is strong!

Because of all of you — Brem’s staff, board of directors, donors, beneficiaries and partners — Brem transformed into a high-impact, vibrant organization. This organization is built on compassion, innovation, and access. I am so proud to have led the Brem Foundation to where it is today. It has been a particular honor to do this alongside our Chief Medical Officer (my mother), Dr. Rachel Brem. Thank you for that opportunity.

While we have accomplished a lot, Brem’s future is even brighter. On March 1st, Julia Lichtman Kepniss, Brem’s dynamic and talented Director of Strategy and Programming will become Interim CEO. Under Julia’s direction, Brem’s programs have flourished. She is passionate about Brem and tackles every initiative with ingenuity, empathy and tirelessness. Brem will be in good hands.

Simultaneously, the board of directors and I will conduct a comprehensive search for Brem’s next permanent leader. I will serve as Senior Advisor until a permanent CEO is named. Following this transition, the board has asked that I serve as a member. I am honored to do so.

During my next professional chapter, I will launch my own healthcare consulting company, Uppermost Strategies. I hope to work with mission-driven companies to help critical innovations reach patients, especially those facing health disparities. Adding value to this aspect of patient care will allow me to continue to help those in need everyday.

Because of you, Brem’s future is full of potential. I am eager to continue to contribute to Brem as an advisor and later as a board member. As I reach this moment, I am filled with gratitude. I have been humbled to work alongside you to build a better world for women.

Thank you for your support, friendship, and love.

With Admiration and Respect,

Andrea Wolf
